One of the major tourist attractions of Jaipur, Nahargarh Fort architecture is noted for its extended wall which connects it to the Jaigarh Fort. Nahargarh Fort was built in 1734 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, founder of Jaipur, on the Aravalli hills. The fort was constructed as a place of retreat on the summit of the ridge overlooking the city of Jaipur in the Indian state of Rajasthan. The fort is surrounded by dense deciduous forest which is part of Nahargarh Biological Park and home to abundant wildlife.
